About Me

Ph.D. Candidate
Stanford University | Biology Department | Dirzo Lab
[email protected]

I am a tropical ecologist and conservation biologist. My research focuses on understanding the cascading effects of wildlife loss on broader ecological functions. Currently, I specialize on how rainforest birds are impacted by the removal of mammals due to hunting activity in Central Africa.

I am in the process of completing my doctorate at Stanford University with Dr. Rodolfo Dirzo. I have previously obtained a B.Sc. from the University of British Columbia, where I completed a thesis will Dr. Jill Jankowski, studying the foraging behaviour of an Andean hummingbird. Since 2018 I have spent considerable time in Cameroon and been closely associated with the Congo Basin Institute.

I acknowledge that I live and work on the tribal lands of the Muwekma and Ramaytush Ohlone in what is now called the Bay Area of California. I also work on the lands of Badjoué, Boulu, Baka, and Nzimé in present day Cameroon.
